Resilience. It starts beneath the ground we stand on. The Executive Order signed yesterday (June 25, 2026) offers a deeper look at the need for a broader and deeper focus on soil health, biological innovation, and farm resilience – the foundation of human health & nutrition.
CHONEX applauds this calling to investigate our modern farm’s system dependency on conventional chemical crop protection tools, invest in regenerative practices, strengthen soil health, and empower farmers with the tools to lower input costs while maintaining yields. These initiatives echo our corporate mission to build biological systems that sustain farming practices and farms for the next generation.
The path to a healthier food supply runs directly through the soil. The MAHA Commission’s framing — that American farmers are essential partners in addressing human health— reflects a growing recognition that what happens in the field does not stay in the field. The inputs we use, the biology we support or suppress, and the inputs we apply go beyond agronomic decisions.
We especially applaud The Executive Order’s directive for the EPA to prioritize registration of alternatives to older active ingredients, and to ARPA-H to fund research into technologies that reduce reliance on conventional chemical crop protection. CHONEX is building toward this goal. We will be ready to help shift this narrative around biological alternatives efficacy given the threat of resistant pathogens and yield impacts associated with these challenges.
We look forward to engaging with the USDA’s expanded Regenerative Pilot Program, contributing to the research and evaluation frameworks being developed, and continuing to demonstrate that insect-derived biological inputs are not a niche category but can shape the next generation of inputs that contribute to a resilient American agriculture.
